Pam

Rev. Pamela Woodman became our Transitional Pastor on May 7, 2023.  It will be her job to lead and guide us as we search for a  called pastor.

Pamela grew up in Litter Ferry, New Jersey, about 9 miles from NYC.  Her home church was the United Church of Christ (a Congregational church).  She was baptized, confirmed, and married in that church.  She attended Montclair State University where she received a BA degree in music, with her voice as her primary instrument.

Pam was involved in all aspects of her church: a deacon, Sunday school teacher and treasurer, church organist, senior and youth choir director, and a representative to the UCC Association and Conference meetings.  It was at one of those meetings when Pam heard God directing her to seminary and subsequently applied and attended the Bangor Theological Seminary.

While in seminary, Pam met and married Charles E. Woodman (who served as the called pastor to this church for nearly 17 years).  She served St. Andrew's Presbyterian-Episcopal Church in Evans Mills, NY, as Stated Supply.  She and Charlie moved from northern NYS to the Catskills where she served the Jeffersonville Presbyterian Church as an interm pastor; the Livingston Manor Presbyterian Church as Stated Supply; and the Sullivan County Hospice as Chaplain.  It was while living in Jeffersonville that Pam transferred her membership from the UCC denomination to the Presbyterian denomination.

From the Catskills, Pam moved to Saratoga County and served the Cambridge United Presbyterian Church as interim pastor.  She then received a Call to serve the Malta Presbyterian Church as an installed pastor for twenty years until she retired in 2021.

She has two wonderful daughters and sons-in-law (Jennifer & Steve and Veronica & Kelly) and five grandchildren.

We are very happy to have Pam serve this congregation as our Transitional Pastor!
