Rev. Rachel P. Mastin  joined us on March 14, 2016.  Rachel grew up in Central Pennsylvania and was nurtured in her faith at the State College Presbyterian Church.  She attended Shippensburg University graduating with a degree in sociology and with a minor in English.  Following college, she dedicated two years to community service with both AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps and with City Year New Hampshire.  Thereafter, she returned home and worked at the Centre County Wome's Resource Center as a Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Counselor and Advocate.  It was during this period, while serving as a volunteer at her home church, that she felt called to attend seminary.  She attended Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Virginia, graduating with both a Masters of Divinity and Masters of Arts in Christian Education.

Rachel's youthful vitality and spiritually uplifting sermons has been a welcomed addition to our church family.
